Medicaid turns in-reimbursable care into re-imburseable care. That’s what the providers want.

It also puts the cost of the working and underclasses medical care onto the Feds rather than states or employers. You may consider this a feature or flaw but that’s the purpose.

It may or may not increase life saving care, but that’s secondary to the primary goal of cash flows.

Weird? Many are hard-wired to be egalitarians, so they are biased in favor of welfarism. Who needs RCTs when people are suffering?!
